What happens when the university and the city join forces to establish a cross-sector network for science communication in Stuttgart?
On January 23, 2024, the International Center for Culture and Technological Research (IZKT) at the University of Stuttgart and the Department of Science and Higher Education of the City of Stuttgart explored this question during a kick-off event. The outcome was very promising: in the unique setting of Studio Amore, approximately 50 participants from culture, science, and journalism came together to brainstorm and share their expectations and ideas.
From big visions to small suggestions, the range of expectations and ideas was as diverse as the fields of expertise represented, and they inspired us: We will continue! Our shared goal is to learn from each other, strengthen science communication, and raise the visibility of the scientific community in the public eye.
