How can we make virtual reality in automotive engineering more realistic? Alexander Achberger was working on this question at the Visualization Research Center (VISUS) at the University of Stuttgart and at Mercedes-Benz Group AG as part of his dissertation project. In our lunchtalk series, he presents how new haptic devices such as PropellerHand, STRIVE and STROE are redefining the boundaries of virtual reality in the automotive sector in a way that is also understandable for laypeople.
In the "pausenbrot mit grips" series, young scientists present their research projects: relaxed, humorous, during the lunch break and also understandable for laypeople. After the input, there will be discussion and snacks. We provide drinks and a sweet surprise.
