Whether in medicine, recruitment, or social networks – Artificial Intelligence is already a reality. Today, it influences our lives and makes decisions that directly affect us.
But who is programming this future? Who is developing the algorithms that guide our decisions? Who determines how AI thinks, learns, and acts? And what perspectives are considered in AI development – or overlooked?
Can AI open doors, promote diversity, and create new opportunities for justice? Or does it reinforce existing prejudices and inequalities? One thing is clear: for AI to shape a future for everyone – and not just for a few – diversity is essential. In the data, in the development teams, and in the public debate.
Join the discussion! Experts from science, business, and politics will talk about the opportunities, risks, and responsibilities in AI development. Among them, Prof. Steffen Staab, spokesperson for the SimTech Excellence Cluster and director of the AI Institute at the University of Stuttgart.
Moderation: Hiser Sedik und Patrick Barth
A cooperation between the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech) and the IZKT at the University of Stuttgart as part of the Pride in STEM events by SC SimTech and the Ethics Lecture Series at HFT Stuttgart.
